Providing a range of ventilation and extraction systems across Yorkshire and the wider UK.
At the head of the RPL team is Julian Hinchliffe, who was one of the co founding directors here at RPL, proud to provide a hands-on quality service to all of our customers and all sectors of industry.
RPL Ltd established in 1983, are manufacturers of quality dust extraction, fume extraction, industrial cooling, containment booths, providing LEV testing and spares and ventilation systems and products.
RPL engineers have attained industry proficiency qualifications BOHS P601 for LEV testing, and BOHS P602 for LEV basic design. We also offer technical engineering and project management services for our turn key installations. We are currently situated in a 6000 sq ft fabrication facility, located centrally in the country this enables us to offer our services to our many customers based in the UK. We offer a FREE survey and quotation for most enquiries.
At the demise of JJ Ventilation in early 2009, RPL purchased the remaining stock and are now able to Continue to offer the JJ Roof Extract Units and INBLO cooling and ventilation systems, we also offer spare parts, replacement filters, service and maintenance for any existing extraction and ventilation installations, and we can supply all new systems in keeping with the visual appearance of the existing equipment.
We offer a free survey and quotation and almost all enquries we receive.
We have a 6000 square foot manufacturing facility, ensuring quick turnaround.
Offering our systems and services across the entire UK.
RPL was formed in 1999, we worked in the industry prior to then too.
We offer bespoke designed turn key installations for LEV systems fabrications in mild or galvanised steel, stainless steel, and aluminium, 1-off and batch quantities. System design is with the aid of AutoCAD software.
The ductwork manufacturing process starts with computer aided design. The next step is then profile cutting with plasma cutter technology, afterwards skilled sheet metal workers and welders will hand craft the final sheet and steel fabrications.
Our installation team will then install the system on site. Post installation, we provide support with maintenance, LEV testing and spare parts services
Since the publication by Health and Safety Executive (HSE) of HSG 258 ‘Controlling Airborne Contaminants at Work – a guide to local exhaust ventilation (LEV)’ many diligent industry owners are insisting that LEV work is only undertaken by engineers who have attained suitable training courses to ensure their systems fall within legislative guidelines.
Understand why you might need an LEV System.
The main use case of dust extraction, fume extraction or local ventilation systems are in high risk environments.
This includes industries such as manufacturing, woodworking, pharmaceuticals, automotive and chemical processing and more, where it’s important to keep the air clean and breathable.
The UK’s regulatory framework enforces strict health and safety standards in workplaces, including compliance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
To meet these requirements, Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems are often necessary to manage exposure to hazardous substances. Businesses are responsible for assessing risks and implementing suitable control measures.
Learn about our process and understand the key milestones to expect when working with us on your project.
From your initial enquiry information, a site survey will be arranged to assess the site and the environmental and production problems you are experiencing first hand.
From our survey your requirements will be discussed, assessed and our conceptual design solution will be developed based around your specific needs.
This could be anything from an innovative turn key installation for a dust extraction system, down flow containment booth or some other LEV system best suited to your application, to a simple bespoke sheet metal fabrication.
You will then be presented with our observations comments and a quote, technical specification and price for any equipment and or services which you require.
Our contracts engineer will take up the reigns and project manage the contract through to completion. AutoCAD generated detail drawings, risk assessment and method statements will be provided where necessary.
Prior to hand over, we will conduct all tests ensuring everything is how it should be. This project will then be commissioned for hand over.
